The 2000 Sharpshooter Cheerleaders, 2000 Matadors Cheerleaders and 2001 Lightning Cheerleaders were never officially known as the San Antonio Roses but the squads were directed by Cynthia Trinidad and eventually became the format for the San Antonio Roses.  The 2000 Sharpshooter Cheerleaders performed for the UPFL San Antonio Stampede Football Organization.  The 2000 Matadors Cheerleaders performed for the SFL San Antonio Matadors Football Organization.  The 2001 Lightning Cheerleaders performed for the NAFL San Antonio Thunder Football Organization.
